Tummy Time

Ella is getting stronger every day. She's my little bobble head as she tries to strengthen her neck muscles. During tummy time this morning, she was really getting a work out (much to her dislike). Pretty soon she'll be able to hold her head up all by herself!

Ella's First Trip Around Greenlake

One of my favorite places to go running in Seattle is around Greenlake, which is a 5 minute walk from our house. Although I haven't been running, I decided to take Ella on a walk there this week since we've been blessed by some sunny days (thank you God). SO I bundled her in what seemed like a million layers, and out we went. She slept through the whole thing, but that's okay. There will be many more days at Greenlake!

Ella Smiles!

Well, it's pretty darn hard we've discovered to catch a baby smiling with a camera. But, I think I've managed to get a couple good ones. She is so cute when she smiles, it melts my heart.

Damon's company has a tradition of handing out a Louisville slugger bat for an award called Big Hitter. Well, apparently, they also give those to the babies of their sales force. We got a car seat and a bat for Ella in the mail, compliments of Federated. Also in this post are two videos of Ella. One is her waking up from a nap. The other is her at the doctors office...so cute! Enjoy.

Ella's Christmas Photos

Ella looked so cute in her Christmas outfit. We spent Christmas Eve at our house with Damon's parents and went to Christmas Eve service at our church, Mars Hill. Then my parents flew in from CA on Christmas and we had Christmas dinner at our house.
Well, it has been a wonderful 3 1/2 weeks getting to know Ella and figure out all the intracacies of raising a baby. She has been wonderful; a happy sweet little baby. We've had my family in town for a few weeks now. First my Mom and Dad, then Amy, Kenny and their son Evan. Now Kristen and Steve are here until Saturday. It's been wonderful to have the help. We had our first two days of a fussy baby this past Monday and Tuesday (as she was getting used to the formula we are supplementing her feedings with). My sister, Kristen, looked online and found that sometimes taking a warm bath can help infants relax when they are constipated. I thought I would take a bath with her and that would be some great bonding time. Well, the relaxation definitely worked, and she pooped on me in the bathtub. Damon wasn't left out though. He pulled her out and put her in her towel, and she continued to poop on his lap. That was an experience I wasn't sure I'd ever go through, but very funny!
