Christmas Morning! Happy Birthday Jesus.

Ella truly enjoyed Christmas morning this year. It was awesome to see how excited she got. Reese, okay, she didn't enjoy it as much as Ella. We had Damon's parents over and it was a fun morning. Ella loved seeing that Santa came and ate the cookies and his reindeer ate the carrot. Ella loved all her gifts, but especially a blanket that my aunt gave her, and loved a recordable book that my mom gave her!

Ella's Birthday Party

We had a small birthday for Ella with a few friends on December 11. It was bee themed, so she got to wear her halloween costume one more time. She had a blast playing with her friends, opening her gifts, and of course eating her cupcake!

Christmas Trees

Okay, so I'm a little behind on posting...I think I have a good excuse! We went with Ali and Marissa earlier this month to cut down our Christmas tree. Reese and I spent most of the time in the car, while I fed her, but then we all enjoyed some hot cider before heading home to set up our tree.

Snow!

It seems that when the Morris family has a baby, it snows in Seattle. So, today the snow started and has been steadily snowing all day. My Mom made it out to her flight and seems to have gotten away before all the drama started. But boy our neighborhood is gorgeous in the snow!

The past 2 weeks...

Life with 2

Well, we are nearly 2 weeks in and life has been great. It helped having my Mom here to help get us all settled in and change about a thousand diapers! Ella loves her new little sister, probably a little too much. But she has been great so far and taking it all in stride. Reese is a pretty mellow and so far "easy" baby. Damon and I are loving having the 2 girls and it's been fun to get to know the little one! Here are a few pictures of our last 2 weeks...and yes that is Ella with headphones on listening to an Ipod.

Ella Meets Reese #3

Ella Meets Reese #2

Ella Meets Reese

Ella absolutely adores Reese. It's the cutest thing to here her say, "Baby so cute". Just today she spent about 20 minutes hugging and kissing her. Here are a few videos of them meeting for the first time...it may have to be in a few posts!

Reese Arrives

She was a whopping 9 lbs 12 oz! And she was beautiful! Welcome Reese to our family...

Ella goes trick or treating

So this year, we trick or treated for canned goods again for the local food bank. Ella had a ton of fun knocking on the doors and saying trick or treat. A few houses in, she did get a piece of chocolate too. So after that, instead of saying trick or treat when she went to the door, she said "chocolate"! It was pretty cute. And we made it around the whole block with only 1 chocolate related tantrum. We got a good amount of food. By the end Ella was a little tired and started riding daddy's shoulders instead of walking. But the nieghbors loved her anyway!

Ella's Halloween

On Saturday, we got Ella all dolled up in her bee costume. She loved it and actually kept her hat on for most of the day. We went to a Halloween party at church and Ella fell in love with bouncy houses/slides. She went with her friend Jackson who was a giraffe. I think she officially likes Halloween!

Ella and Lila

I think I would consider Lila Ella's best friend right now. They play so well together. Here is a photo taken by Lila's mom Lisa of the girls at the childrens museum this morning.

More Ella on Tape

Here's some more...

Ella on Tape

We thought we'd share some of Ella on video since we think she's hilarious.

Ella visits Boston

A week ago Ella took her 1st red eye flight, to Boston, to visit Casey and Lara (and of course the little baby in Lara's tummy). She had a ton of fun, especially since her favorite playmate Casey was there to be crazy with her. She got to play at the beach in New Hampshire, ride a whale, visit the Science Museum, and walk all over Boston. Her favorite place was probably Boston Common, the big park right by our hotel where she could run free! She also rode the "T", and daddy danced with her in the station while we were waiting for the train.

Ella and Lila explore the fish...I mean zoo.

Erin and I took Lila and Ella to the zoo. Yeah sure they loved seeing the animals, but really the fish that were in the bear exhibit, now that really got them excited!

Ella and Evan

So the Morris family recently trekked down to CA to meet new cousin Katelyn. Ella loved Katelyn and was very gentle with her (looks good for when baby #2 comes here). But in all reality she was really there to play with Evan. They made cupcakes (and ate them), went down our makeshift water slide, and learned that older kids like to steal their toys back! It was a great week for all!

Ella in a big girl bed.

Holy cow...Ella's in a big girl bed! We got Ella a toddler bed in preparation for the new baby. It was never my plan to actually put her in it yet, but Damon wanted to try it. So after I told him a thousand times it wouldn't work and she wouldn't stay in it. We tried last night. Sure enough...she stayed the whole night. Then came nap time today and I was pretty nervous...she stayed the whole time! We had a bit of a rough time going to sleep tonight, but she stayed in her bed anyway! WOW! This is amazing, and so cute.
