Ella visits Boston

A week ago Ella took her 1st red eye flight, to Boston, to visit Casey and Lara (and of course the little baby in Lara's tummy). She had a ton of fun, especially since her favorite playmate Casey was there to be crazy with her. She got to play at the beach in New Hampshire, ride a whale, visit the Science Museum, and walk all over Boston. Her favorite place was probably Boston Common, the big park right by our hotel where she could run free! She also rode the "T", and daddy danced with her in the station while we were waiting for the train.

Ella and Lila explore the fish...I mean zoo.

Erin and I took Lila and Ella to the zoo. Yeah sure they loved seeing the animals, but really the fish that were in the bear exhibit, now that really got them excited!

Ella and Evan

So the Morris family recently trekked down to CA to meet new cousin Katelyn. Ella loved Katelyn and was very gentle with her (looks good for when baby #2 comes here). But in all reality she was really there to play with Evan. They made cupcakes (and ate them), went down our makeshift water slide, and learned that older kids like to steal their toys back! It was a great week for all!

Ella in a big girl bed.

Holy cow...Ella's in a big girl bed! We got Ella a toddler bed in preparation for the new baby. It was never my plan to actually put her in it yet, but Damon wanted to try it. So after I told him a thousand times it wouldn't work and she wouldn't stay in it. We tried last night. Sure enough...she stayed the whole night. Then came nap time today and I was pretty nervous...she stayed the whole time! We had a bit of a rough time going to sleep tonight, but she stayed in her bed anyway! WOW! This is amazing, and so cute.

Visit to Boppy and Gramarys

Ella had a great time in California last week. It was a little hot for us, but we survived. We got to go to the park with Boppy and Gramary. At Sprouts class, Ella learned how to use chopsticks (and eat cinnamon pasta...yuck). She also got lots of special time with her Grandpa and Grandma. I had a great time too! When a walk to Starbucks is the big event for the day, you know you're going to relax. I did see the Coalinga museum finally...it's actually pretty cool!
